I have known Jess for over 16 years and was so excited to be able to take these photos for her and Greg. She looked gorgeous as usual and they both were so easy to shoot. We made it to the beach, and then went down to the Dr. Claire Memorial in Greenport, NY where Greg had proposed to Jess.

So happy to finally have some of these photographs to share! I had such a blast at this wedding and was so happy for the bride and groom! Both of them were extremely calm and just genuinely excited for the day and to get married which was so nice to see! Here are some of the highlights from their wedding in April.
I took these photos a few weeks ago for the Cabral family. It was the perfect day and Douglas was the perfect baby. Some of his facial expressions had me cracking up while I viewed the pictures after the event. We started off at their home in Cutchogue, then to St. Agnes Church for the christening, and finally over to the North Fork Country Club for the celebration! Douglas's mother Erika sang at the conclusion of the party, which made the day only more beautiful!
Here are a few photos from The 25th Big Apple Awards last week at the gorgeous Mandarin Oriental in NYC. It was a great event and I even got to photograph and meet the guest speaker, Dan Rather, which was extremely exciting for me! These are just a few photos from the cocktail hour, awards ceremony, and finally the book signing at the conclusion of the event for Rather's new book, "Rather Outspoken".
Finally got a chance to upload some of the photos from Mexico. We all had an absolutely amazing time which made it quite difficult to leave. In between our 98th cocktail and lounging in the pool or ocean, we managed to squeeze in a little sight-seeing and go on a pretty cool excursion. First we walked around some Mayan ruins, and then a few of us climbed the tallest pyramid in the Yucatan Peninsula (see below). The pyramid was closing the following week because it was becoming too dangerous to climb so this made it even more exciting to be able to be one of the last climbers. Afterwards we dined at an authentic Mexican restaurant, walked through a Mayan village, and swam in some fresh water springs. I returned from the trip with five extra pounds, one sunburnt shoulder, and the below photos.
**photographs taken with my very fancy $59 underwater camera** Heading out to the North Fork for Easter. I can't wait to use my new lens to capture some landscapes, and to have a full kitchen to cook in and start creating material for my new blog I am beginning after the holiday - kale&cocktails! And of course, looking forward to some serious quality family time.
As many of my close friends and family know, April Fool's Day is my favorite holiday. For as long as I can remember I have been a huge fan of pranks. This day is just an excuse to get away with it. I have vivid memories of being younger and running around my house putting vaseline all over the toilet seats for my family to sit on, or wrapping black hair elastics around the sprayer next to the faucet so when they turned on the sink they would get soaked. Of course, as I got older, my pranks got more involved and while some may have tended to border on evil, they always ended with a good laugh. (Some people were able to laugh right away, while others took a lit bit longer to recover...oops!) Audrey Hepburn said, "I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person. " I couldn't agree more.
This year I spent the actual holiday pranking back and forth with one of my best friends, but me and my coworkers did not want to leave out our boss. So this morning we got to work early to leave him this little present... Favorite dinner of the year captured two weeks ago. For me, there is nothing better than walking into the house to the sound of James Taylor, the smell of lasagna, and the sight of my Mom sitting in her chair doing her crossword puzzle waiting to feed me.
Love her lasagna, love her. Chef Mom. The one meal I pretend I haven't given up meat for... For the next few days I will be venturing to Mexico for the first time with some of my very close friends! I am SO excited to experience it for the first time - and can't WAIT to get back and share photos! See you next week!
